Staking ADA
If you hold ADA, you are on your way to becoming truly "financially independent". Want your investment to work for you?
Staking is a passive activity where you delegate ( vote ) for a stake pool and earn a percentage of rewards generated by the pool
Purpose of staking
Incentives are used to ensure the longevity and health of the Cardano network and ecosystem. The incentive mechanism is underpinned by scientific research that combines mathematics, economic theory, and game theory.
By delegating your stake in the Cardano ecosystem, you are giving your vote of confidence to a Stake Pool Operator ( SPO ), like our PSB pool, for example, that they will be capable of reliably processing transactions for the network. And by reliablty processing transactions for the network, the SPOs earn rewards, that get automatically distributed by the system to any delegators who delegated to that pool.
Please note, that staking does not put your funds at risk, and it is not the same as sending your ADA for somebody else to hold. In fact, if somebody asks you to send them your ADA so that they can stake it for you, there is a high chance that they want to steal your funds.
